This $9.5m project for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) involved construction of a new bridge, demolition of the existing bridge and construction of approximately 400m of new roadworks approaches. The works were delivered via a Joint Venture with Albem.

Notable aspects of the project:
- Coordinating logistics for remote works
- Constructing a special piling platform across the Maranoa River bed, including installation of low flow culverts
- A number of value engineering options were identified by SGQ, including the following adopted measures:
- SGQ / Albem were very proactive in the ETI process to determine the most efficient design – including removal of pile-caps and substitution with larger piles that transitioned into columns, straight up into headstocks
- By agreement, works commenced without finalised 100% documentation, to expedite works
